What’s a Micro Wedding?

Some time ago, a groom-to-be got in touch asking for, in his own words, a ‘bonsai wedding’.

I immediately thought that this was a beautiful and accurate metaphor.

Bonsai means “tree in a cup”. Think about how much time, dedication and patience it takes to shape one: to enclose Nature’s immensity in such a little space.

Like trees, also weddings, even the biggest and more prestigious ones can be enclosed into a cup, maybe a champagne flute!

That’s why I decided to focus on micro weddings,  with just a few guests, the ones dearest to the couple; the more intimate, emotional and, therefore, tailor made weddings.

So what makes a “bonsai” wedding so special?

The couple will be the real protagonist of the big day, but there’s more.

With a micro wedding, you can access suggestive locations that would be off limits for bigger parties.

Think about that secret garden, hidden in between the cobbled streets of a medieval Italian town. Or the boat moored in front of an enchanted cove. Or even the top of an ancient tower.

There’s more: with a smaller number of participants also the wedding banquet can be more exclusive, with gourmet proposals specifically tailor made for each guest.

During the organization of a micro wedding, the couple will be taken care of step by step, as well as the guests will be pampered throughout the whole ceremony.

Getting married and deciding to share that special moment in life only with the dearest and closest ones is an intimate and heartfelt choice. It deserves all the accurate and detailed planning it takes.
